What can I do to prepare myself before asking for a quote?

1. Plan your need with a sketch. This should be as specific as possible and ideally a professional plan greatly facilitates the task. To set a price, we will have the size in square feet. But obviously, before making your area a specialist of our team will take measurements of the space. How to prepare for taking measurements?

Before taking measurements, you should definitely make sure your cabinets are level and that their installation is completed. When taking measurements, if the existing counter is in place, it must be well clear of any object. However, it must be removed before installation. Otherwise, you will be charged a fee to remove. Also, sink, faucet, supports and appliances are required to be on site. After taking action, any changes that affect your plan will require a new take measures that will be charged extra.

Do I have to provide a sub-counter to certain stones?

Generally not, but in terms of the stones that are available in thinner formats like Lapitec and NEOLITH, yes. So for all slab ½ inch or less, an under counter is necessary. In other words, your cabinets are to be filled and a support must be in place in empty places.

What happend if my cabinets are not at the time of installation?

Cabinets which are not leveled require the use of shims. These blocks could be visible from the front or below the counter. It will then be your responsibility to add a trim piece to cover the gap left by the wedges.

How should I maintain my surface to retain its beauty over time?

Each type of product has its own advantages and disadvantages. Some are more fragile than others, but with proper care, you will retain all the beauty of your stone. Refer to the maintenance instructions for each type of stone.

Can I install a countertop even if a backsplash is already installed?

Yes, however, we must ensure that there is sufficient clearance to the countertop is installed under the backsplash.

How to prepare for installing my new countertop?
